New Business Initiatives

Since 1995, GAIKER strives to promote the creation of New Technology Based Companies (TBCs). These companies comprise staff from the Centre willing to set up their own business based on the technology developed at GAIKER. Otherwise, they can be initiatives promoted by a group of entrepreneurs, given the confluence of technological know-how and market and innovation opportunities.

GAIKER pursues a series of goals in the inception of New Technology Based Companies:

• To promote entrepreneurial spirit and culture.
• To foster the creation of a network of groups involved in the promotion of creativity, innovative spirit and business and work development.
• To promote innovation and contribute to the generation of jobs.
• To become a link between internal staff and possible external entrepreneurs with different initiatives and actions geared to support employment.

To achieve these goals we analyse ideas, we offer support in drafting a business plan and we assist in the overall process of creating a company.

Throughout these past years we have participated in the creation of over ten business initiatives, providing them with GAIKER's know-how and technological expertise.
