KTO
The Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) was created in 1988 with the goal of promoting the coupling of the scientific, technological and productive environments within the
Science-Technology-Industry System. Similarly, universities, national public research centres, university-business foundations and many technology centres have offices of these same characteristics. In our case, we are committed to be part of this network seeking to promote technological dissemination, R&D and communication with the industrial environment.
In fact, our work at KTO-GAIKER seeks to involve companies in the management and development of R&D as a tool for competitiveness and technological progress, not only by undertaking R&D projects but also by fostering participation in other activities conducted at the Centre.
Our goals include:
- Promoting the structure and operation of the KTO
- Evaluation and identification of emerging technological needs
- Stimulation of technological dissemination and communication to the industrial environment
- Promotion of R&D and participation in international projects
- Fostering of Technological Services
GAIKERs KTO activity has been cofunded by the Economy and Competitiveness Ministry, within INNCIDE program (ref.OTR-2011-0252).
