Labblling Agricultural Plastic Waste for reuse or disposal. LABELAGRIWASTE
The main objective of this project is to develop a standardised procedure and integrated methodology for labelling agricultural plastic waste in order to establish the best recycling method on the basis of the nature and quality of each waste flow.
2006 - 2008
6FP European Project.
Subject: recycling of agricultural plastic waste.
Leader: Agricultural University of Athens.
Long Fibre Recycling from Optical Cables, Lines and Ropes. L-FIRE
This project involves the study and development of innovative processes which enable materials to be recovered from waste fibre optic cables.
2005 - 2007
6FP European Project.
Subject: recycling of fibre optic cables.
Leader: KEMA Nederland BV.
Future Technologies for Sustainable Recycling FUTURES
The FUTURES project brings together research groups from the University, Technology Centres and companies in the Basque Country with an interest in reuse, recycling, valorisation and sustainable design activities. The project aims to generate and bring together knowledge in this fields for subsequent transfer to the industrial sector. Its activities can be divided into five main areas: reuse, mechanical recycling, chemical recycling and energy recovery, development of applications for recycled materials and sustainable design.
2005 - 2007
ETORTEK Project.
Funded by the Basque Government
Subject: recycling mixtures of materials (plastics and metals).
Leader: GAIKER-IK4.
Sustainable Electrical & Electronic System for the Automotive Sector. SEES
The main objective is to develop a prototype electrical and electronic system (EES) for a sustainable, clean and eco-efficient car and to study the disassembly and recycling processes for automotive EESs in order to increase their recovery and reuse rates.
2004 - 2007
6FP European Project
Subject: recycling of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
Leader: Technical University of Berlin.
SEEA
Automatic identification and separation of mixtures of metals arising from waste flows. IDEMET
The main goal of the IDEMET project is to develop a demonstration-scale process for the automatic identification and separation of non-magnetic metals from mixtures arising mainly from the recycling of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) and/or waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
2005 - 2006
Private funding from client.
Subject: recycling mixtures of materials.
Next Generation Environmentally Friendly Soldering Technology. EFSOT
The EFSOT project follows an inter-regional and integrated approach to promote the viability and sustainability of the introduction of lead-free soldering technology into the European electrical/electronics industry.
2002 - 2005
5FP European Project.
Subject: recycling of printed circuit boards containing lead-free solders.
Leader: Technical University of Berlin.
