Thermoplastic Materials
In the field of thermoplastic materials we are experts in the additivation and modification of plastics using compounding techniques with additives, loads and reinforcements.
We use specialised tools to select the appropriate thermoplastic material according to the final application: commodities (PE, PP, styrenic, EVA, etc.), plastics of technical (PA, PC, PET, PBT, POM, PEI, PES, PEEK, etc.) and natural origin (PLA, biodegradable, etc.).
Our lines of technological activity are:
- Development of formulations with specific characteristics and functionalities (mechanical, non-scratch, lightweight, fireproof, antimicrobial, antioxidant, barrier, electrical conductors, thermal, natural, biodegradable conductors, etc.) by means of additivation and compounding resins with loads, reinforcements, additives and other resins.
- Rheological characterisation and adjustment in micro-rheometers and shear rheometers; we can also work at very small scale using a microcompounder.
- We research and develop materials for active packaging, incorporating additives and active antioxidant or antimicrobial substances to the composition of plastic materials.
- We undertake research into bioplastics (obtained from natural sources) and biodegradable materials. We assess the biocompatibility of materials for their application in contact with the human body.
- We develop thermoplastic materials from recovered recycled materials.
- We develop fireproof formulations for application in the electrical and construction sectors.
- Development of materials with functional properties for textile spinning.
- Development of materials to obtain laminated thermoplastic composites.
