INTERNATIONAL

For a Technology Centre such as GAIKER, International Cooperation is an obligation. We use International Cooperation to form alliances and stable cooperation frameworks which allow us, firstly, to ensure our presence in the European R&D Framework Programme and, secondly, to participate in more ambitious innovation and technological development projects, in which we take on new challenges using a combination of know-how and experience, as we have done successfully in over 100 International R&D Consortiums. In short, our aim is to advance as much as possible in the procurement and development of emerging technologies of strategic interest to our industry.

Apart from our participation in International R&D Consortiums, our network of collaborators and our active participation in Dedicated Networks, Technical Committees and International Management Associations allows us to permanently validate our developments and set up training for our researchers in International Reference Centres.

Moreover, GAIKER has proven to be an important technological partner for several R&D organisations of international renown. The agreements signed with, for example California Pacific Medical Center, CEMES (France), ICIDCA (Cuban Institute for Research into Sugarcane Derivatives), and stable collaborations with Universidad do Miño (Portugal), SAT (Austria), Fraunhofer-ICT (Germany) and TNO (Holland) are proof of this. On occasions interest in our company goes beyond just technology, with Quality and Innovation in the Management of the Centre, as recognised in 2006 when we were finalists for the European EFQM award, being demanded for transfer and implementation at other centres.
