PROJECTS

Some of our most remarkable projects:

Gathering Projects

  • New solutions in plastic and compound materials and composites for the construction sector. Monitoring methods for structures based on intelligent materials.
  • Smart materials, sensors and actuators applied to smart structures and processes (ACTIMAT).
  • Development of the technology for manufacturing plastic profiles by pultrusion with side protection systems used in the auxiliary construction sector
  • Development of new active barrier materials based on the combination of nanoparticles and oxygen absorbers (NANOFIBO).
  • PET Recycled PET (RPET), from packages after consumption, used in the development of chippings and composite plastic compounds for high benefit applications.
  • Analysis and Characterisation of polymers with shape memory. Properties and applications.
  • Development of concentrated high level thermoplastics based on the combination of nanofillers (mineral and nanofibre) with active agents, fireproof halogen-free agents or biodegradable fillers.
  • Development of new composites with high level mechanical features processed with the latest generation of technologies and with applications on a structural level (COMPOS).
  • Development of new thermal insulators aimed at the construction sector with the incorporation of molecular alloys.
  • Development of composite natural materials derived from renewable sources: processing, characterisation and applications (NATURCOMP).

European Projects

  • Assimilation and standardisation of environmentally friendly packaging Technologies within the food industry (PACKTECH).
  • Setting up of a European Virtual Institute for Reciclyng for Composites (ERIC).
  • Competitive research and innovation for the European plastics processing suppply chain (PLASTEAM).
  • IntPlasTIC Initiative to improve the potential for development and innovation of plastic processing sector companies in Spain, Portugal and the south of France, with the use of TIC.
  • Materials network for the Atlantic Area (MNAA).
  • Development of an innovate cost effective technology to produce halogen-fre high performance flame-retarted polyolefins (FLARETPOL).
  • New classes of engineering composite materials from renewable sources (BIOCOMP).
  • Electronic services for SMEs in the plastic supply chain (e-SeSME).
